With the support of Stamford Town Clerk Office and Consulate General of Ukraine in New York, Blue Sky Ukraine is holding a Charity Concert of Ukrainian music. The event will be held in order to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the Ukrainian Independence Day and help children and the elderly in Ukraine.
The concert will feature masterpieces of Ukrainian choral, vocal and instrumental music performed by famous Ukrainian performers, such as Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York, Pavlo Gintov – piano, Hanna Golodynskii – soprano, Denis Savelyev – flute, as well as a chamber group of bandurists of America.
UKRAINIAN CHORUS DUMKA was formed in New York City in 1949 to preserve and cultivate the rich secular musical heritage of Ukraine.
For over 70 years Dumka has enriched the cultural and spiritual life of the Ukrainian diaspora while generating enthusiasm in the American and European public. With a wide repertoire, including Ukrainian folk, classical and sacred music, the chorus has performed at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and other venues.
The chorus has toured several European cities as well as Kyiv and Lviv in Ukraine. In 2022 Dumka performed on SNL’s tribute to Ukraine, at Arthur Ashe Stadium for the U.S. Open Tournament opening ceremonies and other venues.

HANNA GOLODINSKII, soprano – a Native of Ukraine, she received her Master’s Degree of Music as an Opera Solo and Chamber Performer from the National Music Academy of Ukraine, State Conservatory of Tchaikovsky, Kyiv, Ukraine, where she was a student of Ukrainian opera star, People’s Artist of Ukraine, professor Diana Petrynenko. Hanna made her solo Carnegie Hall debut in 2008 and had numerous solo returns to the venue in 2011, 2018; solo recitals at Opera America, at Jazz Lincoln Center Frederick P.Rose Hall and her solo performances can be heard regularly worldwide and on WGCH National Radio Broadcasts.
Pianist PAVLO GINTOV has been described as “a poet of the keyboard” the Illinois Entertainer, a “musical storyteller” by the Japanese publication Shikoku News, and “a fantastic pianist and extraordinary artist” by the Fanfare Magazine. Following his debut at the Kyiv Philharmonic Hall at the age of 12, Mr. Gintov has been touring throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and the United States, appearing at such stages as Carnegie Hall in New York, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Teatro Verdi Nationale in Milan, and Kioi Hall in Tokyo.
DENIS SAVELYEV is a soloist, chamber, and orchestral player. Newly accepted of the Marlboro Festival, Denis is the First-prize winner of the 2017 NYFC Competition, “Rising Star” at the 2021 Galway Flute Festival, and Young Artist of 2019 NFA. From Lviv, Ukraine, he earned BM at Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow, MM at Mannes College, and MM at The Orchestra Now, Bard College, New York. He performs and gives lessons worldwide, loves collaborating with artists, and is passionate about teaching.
