Blue Sky Ukraine is pleased to announce our first partner – Ukrainian School “NEW WAVE“, Brooklyn, NY.
The parents of the school, led by the director Myroslava Rozdolska are very proactive and supportive in helping Ukrainian children. The school has been providing a lot of resources to Ukraine and teach their students to be kind, useful and help others in need.
We sincerely thank the parents of the school and Mrs. Rozdolska, who agreed to collaborate with us in support of kids who need vital medical assistance.
In fact, this is not the first collaboration between the “New Wave” and “Blue Sky Ukraine”, so from now on we will cover all the good deeds that the school will do for the benefit of Ukrainian children in this section.

The first project in 2024 is started with a collection of the necessary amount for heart surgery for the daughter of a Ukrainian serviceman – Yustyna.
Yustyna is the 13-year-old daughter of a real Ukrainian hero. Her father, despite the fact that he doesn’t have a leg, on a prosthesis, and without one lung which he lost during a serious injury in the war in 2022, returned to the front line (Limano-Krupianskyi region) to protect Ukraine from the russian aggressor.
Yustyna was born with an Atrial Septal Defect. The only effective method of treatment for this type of heart defect is surgical intervention – implantation of an occluder, which will significantly improve the child’s health and prevent the disease from progressing.
In addition to a heart defect, Yustyna has a hypothalamic inoperable benign brain tumor, which constantly gives the girl convulsions and major health problems. The girl constantly takes anticonvulsant and hormonal drugs. In addition, every three months the girl and her mother, who also has a disability, go to the capital for examination and treatment to monitor the growth and development of the tumor and whether neoplasms that are in the occipital and frontal part of the head do not appear. And this entails large financial costs, which do not allow raising funds for the necessary heart machine.
Due to constant seizures, high blood pressure and heart palpitations, hormonal failure of the thyroid gland and lack of vitamin D absorption by the body, due to the fact that the child has frequent bone fractures, the doctors unanimously insist on an operation to install an occluder on April 9th, 2024, because the heart defect worsens Yustyna’s health every day!
“New Wave” and “Blue Sky Ukraine” can not leave the child of our hero in trouble! We believe that saving Justyna’s life is our joint obligation to her and her father!
The price of an occluder, which is vital for the girl costs ~ $4,500. So we are opening a collection for Yustyna of a value of $4,500.
We are so happy to announce that the “New Wave” was able to raise even more than necessary – $5,575. Extra money we will use for medicine for Yustyna.
