House of Hope

They had everything – a home, relatives and health. However, the aggressor country decided that it has the right to destroy the fate of defenseless peaceful Ukrainians. To take away the most valuable, leaving the elderly with serious physical disabilities to survive by themselves, and women without husbands with children in their arms.

Recently, doctors from a rehabilitation center in the Lviv region appealed to Blue Sky Ukraine fund with a request to help provide housing to people who were evacuated from the Eastern regions and are undergoing rehabilitation, because most of them were left without a roof over their heads and a chance to rebuild their homes. These people, lonely elderly, mothers with babies without husband’s support – most of them have serious health problems. Because of the enemy rockets and bombs some of them lost a leg or an arm, and someone needs life-long treatment with expensive medicines.

At such moments we understand more than ever our goal and mission – to help Ukrainians overcome this dark period of life. That is why we are launching the project “House of hope”, that will provide shelter to these people. Now we are investing in the initial creation process.

We open a collection and appeal to everyone who cares – let’s help those who need it now. Let’s restore these people’s hope for a better life and faith in the future.

HOUSE OF HOPE

Dear our donors! We are happy to announce that in November 2023 we launched our project called House of Hope.

Until recently, preparation of the house had been in progress, but this did not prevent us from starting welcoming first people to the house who suffered from the war and found themselves in difficult life situations.

First of all, these are single elderly people, single mothers with minor children and families with children of dead, wounded and missing servicemen.

We provide assistance in the form of temporary free housing, food, hygiene, and, if necessary, medication, and we organize outpatient rehabilitation at a rehabilitation center located near our shelter.

House of Hope is an extremely important project for people who are in difficult life circumstances, and especially in the conditions of the russian war, because it provides those in need with protection, security and an opportunity to restore their lives, improve their emotional state and start a new life.

Maintaining the shelter entails considerable and constant costs. For example, our shelter can accept up to 15 people per month, counting all expenses – the annual receipt is ~ $27,000, $150 per person per month (payment of house rent, food, hygiene, utilities, medicine…).

Our shelter exists only thanks to donations and support from good people who care about the plight of those in need.

We constantly look for donors and good people who will help us continue our hard volunteering work and help people who suffered from the hands of the russian aggressor.

You can make a one-time donation, or take one or more people under your care at the shelter. Your donation of $150 will mean that during a month you save one life, the fate of a person who has no home and has lost faith in a bright future.
